Battle @ Buffalo: August

The August edition of Battle @ Buffalo was super dope! It all went down at its usual time and date, the last Saturday of the month.

This month The Verve Dance Studio was jam packed with people from all over the map. There were Bboys from Toronto, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Seattle, Philadelphia, and Niagara Falls. All of the dancers were gettin’ down to DJ Simple tearin’ it up on the ones and twos. The cyphers were outta control.

The first battles were the Freestyle battles, and this months battles were hottt! A bunch of new faces graced the dance floor this month. In the end the new comer Bruh Bruh took the final battle making him this months winner.

Next were the Bboy Battles. They were just as hype as the Freestyle battles. If you missed any of the battles this month then you definitely missed out. Approximately 20 Bboys battled it out until there was only one left. The final battle was between Pete Nasty (Rochester) and Mantis (Philadelphia). The battle was SICK!  Both Bboys showed a little bit of everything; style, power, tricks, freezes, and footwork. The battle was close and the judges called for a tie breaker. In the end Pete took the tie breaker making him the champion of this months Battle @ Buffalo.
